We are happy to provide the SDS sheets for your Thermacell. Please note that these sheets are for essential occupational exposure. OSHAs Globally Harmonized Guidelines (GHS) are followed for the preparation of the SDS and address large scale and repeated exposures that may be encountered when manufacturing, moving, and storing bulk quantities. The US EPA and WHO have concluded that there is reasonable certainty that no harm will result to the environment from use of the product. We will be approaching the EPA with additional data, which we hope will allow us to be clearer going forward about the products safety around water. In the meantime, we must recommend as best practice to run battery powered Thermacell repellers 10 feet away from a body of water and 7.5 feet away if you are using the Multi Insect repellent. Thermacell products should not be applied to water per label instructions. Thank you

The chemical in the E-ZoneGuard Rechargeable Repeller repellent is Metofluthrin 

Our E-ZoneGuard Rechargeable platform repellent cartridges use metofluthrin as the repellent active ingredient. The inactive ingredients in the product are isoparaffinic solvents used to dissolve and act as carriers for our repellent.

If your E-ZoneGuard Rechargeable repeller is empty of repellent, dispose in the trash according to label directions. If your rechargeable device is partially filled, contact your local solid waste agency for disposal instruction. Never place unused refills down any indoor or outdoor drain.

When used as directed, Thermacell products are designed to repel mosquitoes, not kill them. However, if a mosquito remains within a confined, enclosed area containing Thermacell repellent for an extended period, it may eventually die from prolonged exposure.

Mosquito repellents work by blocking or disrupting the cues mosquitoes use to find people. Topical repellents mask scent signals on the skin. Spatial repellents like Thermacell disperse a pyrethroid vapor into the surrounding air, making the zone uncomfortable for mosquitoes to enter or remain in.

When charging your E-Series/EX-Series/EL-Series use any 1-amp supply. Examples of charging options:

For the Radius, maximum repellency performance occurs within 10 feet around the device (110 sq ft). Repellency may extend beyond this range, but the level of protection will decline as you go further from the device.

The E-ZoneGuard Rechargaeable Repeller provides a 20 ft zone of protection against mosquitoes.  It will begin creating a zone of protection around the device within minutes, but to experience optimal results in the full zone, the repeller should be allowed to run for at least 15 minutes. 

The cover for the FuelZoneGaurd Base Repeller formly known as (Patio Shield) was designed as a decorative "cap" to put on the top of the device when not in use. It is not required for the repeller to function. We stopped producing these caps some time ago when we learned that the caps were causing confusion and users were running their repellers with the cap on. The cap can also trap debris in the device as well. These lead to negative experiences with the product, so we chose to remove the cap going forward. We're sorry for any confusion this may have caused, and recognize that due to the timing of the change, some of our packaging may have continued to show a cap.

If your E-ZoneGuard Rechargeable Repeller does not turn on, try the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Check the battery charge level.
   When the repeller is powered on, the battery indicator lights located below the power button will display the remaining charge:  If you miss the indicator, simply press the power button again to view the battery status.
   • 3 solid lights = Fully charged
   • 2 solid lights = approximately 50% charged
   • 1 solid light = approximately 25% charged
   • If no battery lights appear, the battery may need to be recharged. Ensure the USB charging cable is securely connected and allow the device to charge fully

      2. Verify that the repeller is properly assembled.
           Make sure the top half of the repeller is fully seated and correctly aligned with the bottom half. If the unit is not assembled properly, it will not power            on. 

      3. Ensure the top cover is installed.
          The top cover must be attached before turning on the repeller. If the cover is not in place, the device will not operate.

We understand you are having an issue with your Radius where you cannot get it to power on. If you see blinking lights when trying to power it on:

First, try unlocking the device (if your device has this feature):

• Remove it from it's charger and hold the power button in for 5 seconds or longer, it should blink to indicate "locked mode" is now turned off. If there are no lights present: 
  • Does the battery indicator light turn on when you insert a charging cable? If no:
    • Make sure cable is inserted fully into the charge port - If charging using a USB port in a computer, please charge using a standard wall outlet - Allow up to 5 minutes for the device to indicate that it is charging the battery indicator should begin to blink once battery has minimum power.

If these steps do not work, please contact us.

If your Radius will not stop blinking, first, if your device has a lock mode, try unlocking it.

• Remove it from it's charger and hold the power button in for 5 seconds or longer, it should blink 3 times and shut off.
• Then press and hold the on button for no more than 1-2 seconds, it should turn on and the LED will stay solid.

If that still did not work, try the following:

• Ensure nothing is blocking the connection from the bottom of the device and the top of the device.
• Ensure the device top is securely seated on top of the bottom, try removing the top and replacing.
• Ensure there is a cartridge in the device

Please let us know if you have done these steps and what the result was in order for us to help you from there.

If your E-ZoneGuard Rechargeable Refill leaks, please wipe off any repellent residue with a cloth or paper towel from the repeller. The refill should still be good to use in your repeller. Please wash hands after cleaning of the repellent cartridge. 

Occasionally, condesation may form on the E-ZoneGuard Rechargeable Repeller during use.  This is normal and does not affect performance.  Simply wipe the unit clean with a cloth or paper towel and wash your hands afterward. 

If your Radius will not turn on, please make sure device is charged. Recharging time is almost equal to run time, so it can take almost 6 hours for a full charge. Ensure the top is fully seated on the repeller, the unit will not power on without the top

The E-ZoneGuard Rechargeable Repeller has two low-battery indicators:

To change the battery in the Fuel-ZoneGuard Extreme Mosquito Repller (MR450):

1. Remove the two screws on the back of the device that secure the battery compartment cover.
2. Once the cover is removed, you sill see a small white batter tray (batter caddy) inside. Carefully slide the tray out.  If needed, use a small flat-head or pointed tool to gently assist with removal.
3. Insert the new lithium battery into the tray, making sure the positive (+) side of the battery aligns with the positive (+) marking on the tray.
4. Slide the tray back into its housing until it is fully seated.
5. Reistall the battery compartment cover and secure it using the two screws you removed ealier.
6. Install your cartridge and your MAT, turn the device on and press the igniter a few times. In about 10-15 minutes the LED indicator will be solid blue. Click here for more information and visuals on how to replace battery. 

If your Fuel-ZoneGuard™ Repeller does not appear to be repelling mosquitoes, first make sure the device is operating properly and that the orange glow is visible in the viewing window. Also, confirm that you are using a fresh blue repellent mat.

Our backpacker product will work with the following camping gas stove canisters and others, that use the Lindal valve:  The Fuel-ZoneGuard Backpacker must use a mix of Butane/Propane refills that are 70/30 ( 70% butane and 30% propane). Fuel canister must be pressurized self-sealing (iso) butane and propane fuel mix (product will not function with 100% propane).

These camping gas stove canisters can be found in any major outdoor retailer. Dicks, BassPro, Cabela's, REI, and others.

For a lost of damaged charging cable, you can make use of any cable that works with a Galaxy, Samsung style mobile phone, or a USB listed/certified class 2 power unit charge marke 5V-DC 1000 ma, should be fine. These cables are also readily available at many retailers, like a Staples or a Best Buy.
