Ingredients & Safety

How is Prallethrin Different From Allethrin?

Prallethrin is a member of the same family as Allethrin, the active repellent used in our fuel-powered E-ZoneGaurd repellers. In addition to being effective against mosquitoes, prallethrin has also demonstrated effectiveness against black flies (not common house fly) and no-see-ums, making it a broader-spectrum insect repellent.

What are the ingredients in Fuel-ZoneGuard Repellers.

Our products contain active ingredients that repel mosquitos and inactive ingredients that assist with their release into the air. Our products contain active ingredients that repel mosquitos and inactive ingredients that assist with their release into the air. Our Fuel-ZoneGuard platform repellent mats use d-allethrin or Prallethrin as the repellent active ingredient. The inactive ingredients include isopropl myristate, a phenolic preservative, pertroleum disllates and blue dye.

Can Fuel-ZoneGuard Repellers Be Used Near Water?

Can the Fuel-ZoneGuard gas cartridge be refilled?

Our gas cartridges cannot be refilled. Our isobutane cartridges contain a pure factory-installed sealed gas. "Off the shelf" butane contains propellants and lubricants which would eventually cause your Thermacell device to fail and will void your warranty and any/all liability no limited to performance and/or safety.

What are the main ingredient in Fuel-ZoneGuard Multi-Insect Repellant

The main ingredient in the Fuel-ZoneGuard Mulit-Insect repallent is Prallethrin. It is a member of the same family as Allethrin. It has been show to be effective against not only mosquitoes, but black flies and no-seeums.

Are Fuel-ZoneGuard cartridges reusable?

Cartridges are not reusable. They are recyclable however, so please recycle where #7 plastics are accepted.

How it works & performance

How does mosquito repellent work?

Note: Environmental factors may cause the color of the repellent mat to vary during use. However, regardless of its appearance, the mat remains effective for up to 4 hours. Please continue using the mat for the full 4-hour effectiveness period rather than relying solely on its color to determine when it should be replaced.

Cartridges are not reusable. They are recyclable however, so please recycle where #7 plastics are accepted.
