“… Saw the ThermaCELL here on Amazon, read many reviews, and decided to give it a try. So far, so good. We sat on our patio last evening during prime bug time, and the mosquitoes and gnats did not bother us at all. The mats last as advertised about 4 hours. I highly recommend this product.”

I live on the west coast of Florida in a swamp area just off the Gulf of Mexico coast where there are trillions of bugs: no-see-ums, skeeters, and any other creepy, crawly, flying insect you can think of. “Imagine Mosquito Lagoon on the swampy coast of Florida in the fetid heat of August as you glide up to your isolated island campsite in your canoe. Between you and total insect bitten madness is this ThermaCELL unit…. This small instrument was amazing in keeping the dusky hordes from our necks and ankles. Despite the ranger’s warning that we might be bodily carried away by the slavering skeeters, we had no trouble at all as long as we stayed in that 225 sq. ft. range. To leave it was to risk anemia.”

“In the past we had to either use a spray repellent or none at all, neither of which is something you want to do while bow hunting in the humidity and mosquito-infested Texas gulf coast. In a popup blind, the ThermaCELL is the most important item after your bow and arrows. Without it you'll need a transfusion after being in the blind for a couple of hours. I was concerned about odor but it doesn't bother the deer….”
